Final Strangeways submitted poster design

This is the final poster design which I submitted into the Strangeways competition. Unfortunately it didn't win and someone off Vis com won. However I was still not pleased with the overall feel of the poster and its layout after trailing alot of variations.

So I set out on extending the project and started to design more flyer and poster style variations which i felt were more along the lines of my design practice - ie cutting and sticking.




Type was still not easily readable from a distance - more impact and a puncher design was needed. I needed to consider my layout more & where the text could be placed within the poster to work and combine with the images. EG, text in the balloons.
