The start.... Once i had my final poster designs sorted i wanted to knock up the Cd promo packaging fairly quickly as i had already wasted alot of time on deciding the style of the posters. I chose to continue the theme used within them and crop elements out of the posters and copy them onto the packaging - this was simple quick and easy. Below documents some of my initial stages:
This was my first cover design, however after asking my peers and re consideration i decided that using the horses head against the multicoloured background was not a good choice as it didn't match or link to my final poster designs. 
Net designs, trying to figure out how each part would piece togther and fold to make a nice compact piece of packaging.
